Sunken plane, Boeing 747 to be dived

A plane sunk in the largest underwater park in the world to be dived, to experience in the world of dives.

But how much could a & #8220; Jumbo & #8221 ;?

Boeing 747, better known as Jumbo, is a commercial wide-body aircraft, manufactured by Boeing, known worldwide for its large size and great weight. It is a plane that will shine in one of the most beautiful underwater parks that we can find on planet Earth.

Today we tell you a very prominent news in the ABC, a story that will give you the desire to go diving there.

Bahrain, located in the Persian Gulf, will open next summer the largest underwater theme park in the world that will occupy some 100,000 square meters and that includes, among other attractions, a Boeing 747 70 meters long removed from the market and sunk to be dived.

In addition to the plane, the park will have different structures that will be manufactured with ecological material as a scale replica of a pearl merchants house which will become a refuge for marine life and will serve as coral nurseries in order to obtain artificial reefs. On the surface the project will promote the growth of invertebrates, particularly oysters.

Impact on marine life

According to Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority (BTEA), which created the project in cooperation with the Supreme Council for the Environment and the private sector.

The park was designed to have a positive impact on marine life and all efforts have been made to limit the environmental footprint of the project. So, 747 has been decontaminated of all wiring, all hydraulic, pneumatic and fuel systems, and all adhesives, insulators, plastics, rubbers, chemicals or other potential toxic substances.

The aircraft surfaces will undergo high pressure washing with detergents that do not harm the environment to ensure that all postproduction coatings, oil and dirt are removed before submerging.

The site, which is expected to open, at least in part, in summer 2019, will be available to students of schools and universities as a "live laboratory", which will allow them to carry out practical experiments.

Therefore, Bareín thus joins other countries that have also created underwater parks with submerged airplanes. In 2006, a Boeing 737 sank off the coast of British Columbia, Canada, and in 2016 Turkey sank an Airbus A300 off the Aegean Sea coast.
